For Rwanda
I wrote More Than A Crown here, in this country, for people like you. You showed up for me. Now I want to sign your copy personally — with a message I wrote just for you — and bring it to you right here in Rwanda.
Let me sign your copy — RWF 40,000Why I'm doing this
I wrote this book in Rwanda. I grew up here. The moments I was afraid to share — they happened on these streets, in these schools, in rooms you would recognise. This story belongs to this country as much as it belongs to me.
You followed my journey. You showed up at the launch in Kigali. You sent messages telling me you saw yourself in my pages. Signing your copy is my way of closing that circle — of saying: I see you too.
This isn't just a signed book. It's a piece of something we made together, right here at home.
What your copy will look like
I'm not printing a signature. I'm not using a stamp. Every copy going to Rwanda gets signed by me, by hand — with a message I've written for the people who were there from the beginning.
Ten years from now, you'll open this book. You'll see my handwriting on the inside cover. You'll remember that this mattered enough for me to do this by hand, for you — someone from the same country that shaped this story.
That's what you're getting.
More Than A Crown
I'm proud of that. But what I'm more proud of is this: 78% of everyone who read it gave it 5 stars. And they told me why — in reviews, in messages, in the faces I saw at the launch right here in Kigali.
They said it made them feel seen. That it gave them language for things they hadn't been able to say. That they read it in one sitting and cried at the end.
What they said
I don't take credit for this. These are their words — the people who sat with this book and then came back to tell me what it did to them.
"I still have a wet face from the tears. Her story, told so gracefully, had me gripped from the first page. I could not put it down."
Colette Hughes · Goodreads
"Naomie really allowed herself to be deeply vulnerable, opening up in a way that shows she is truly so much more than a crown."
Joel Tuyikunde · Goodreads
"The more you read the more you get to know Naomie beyond what she shows on social media. It is really worth every penny."
Charity · Goodreads
"A rare, firsthand look at the pressures of public life in Rwanda and the expectations placed on young women. Essential reading."
RoReads · Goodreads
"I discovered parts of her story I had never known in such detail. Her vulnerability and strength throughout the memoir is incredible."
Michael Tesfay · Goodreads
"A new perspective on post-genocide Rwanda, where young people lead relatively normal lives. A story that needed to be told."
Tona Lys · Goodreads
Before you decide
You can buy this book anywhere. But you can't buy this — my handwriting on the inside cover, a message I wrote thinking of you, from me to you, here in Rwanda.
Once the Rwanda batch is signed and ready, that's it. I'm not reopening this. What I have is this window — and I want to use it for the people who showed up at home.
I'm signing a limited batch by hand — each one with a personal inscription. When they're gone, the only way to get this book is through a retailer. No signature. No message from me. Just the book. This is your window.
